History of Psychology

Psychology defined as the self-experimental study or the scientific study of behavior and mental process started in 1879. It was when Wilhelm Wundt founded the first laboratory that is exclusive to Psychological research that is located in Germany. Other contributors in the field of Psychology are Hermann Ebbinghous (started the study of memory), William James (father of pragmatism) and Ivan Pavlov (procedures for classical conditioning). Lighter Witmer started the first psychological clinic in 1890.
